Terms and Conditions of Sale

General Terms:

1. A minimum of 50% advance needs to be paid for the order to get processed

2. Balance payment, if any, for an order needs to be paid before delivery. On receipt of balance payment the product is delivered, unpacked and installed.

3. Only once the balance payment is made, the furniture would be cleared for delivery and our executive would schedule the delivery.

4. In case the balance payment is being made by CHEQUE, then the customer will need to deposit the CHEQUE in any of our Bank account's (Account details as below) and the CHEQUE must get credited in our account before the delivery is scheduled.

5. In case the balance payment is being made by CASH then the customer will need to deposit CASH in any of our Bank account's (Account details as below) and the same must get credited in our account before the delivery is scheduled.

7. There is an additional charge of 1% for any Cash Payment made to us in excess of INR 2 Lakhs in any given Financial Year.

8. Prior to delivery, the customer has to ensure that there is enough of space in their room for our executives to install the furniture. If there is not sufficient space, our executives would leave without completing the installation and would come to install only when the next slot is available.

Cancellation Policy:

An order cannot be cancelled a week after its placement. If an order has to be cancelled after a week, the right to refund the advance amount will remain with Stitchwood. If there are technical or finish requirements which Stitchwood cannot fulfill, cancellation of the order will be initiated by Stitchwood after informing the customer.

Return Policy:

At Stitchwood we try our best to provide a wide range of top quality products to our customers. We also provide them an opportunity to customize these products to meet their requirement. However, if the product delivered has a manufacturing defect or a wrong product was delivered, or the product sustained transit damage, then the client has the right to return the product and in such case, Stitchwood will refund the entire amount to the client. This return policy may not be applicable on all categories of products. Please read the following details carefully before placing the order.

For Catalogue Products:

The return policy is ONLY applicable on Stitchwood's catalogue products that have not been customized by the customer in any form. Return policy is not applicable in case of customer not liking the product (Color, Stitch, Finish, Overall look ) . If the furniture is under rework, with consent of the customer, the customer can still return the furniture within 7 days after receiving the furniture post rework.

For non-catalogue products, Kitchens and Complete House Furniture

The return policy is not applicable on kitchens, fixed wardrobes, products not in the online catalog and bulk orders. However, assistance in the form of rework/repair will be provided. This will be determined by Stitchwood's quality check team after inspecting the furniture.

We request the customer to check for the following details while taking the delivery:

1) Please check all external surfaces across the product for any breakages, cracks, chip-offs and unfinished patches. Most of the time, our assembly team will be able to fix these issues immediately.

2) For all the products that involve assembly, please ensure that the delivery team assembles the product so as to make sure that all nuts and bolts are present and they fit well.

3) For all sofas, kindly sit on the item to ensure that the structure is stable with your weight on it and is comfortable.

4) For the furniture units that are heavy and difficult to move, kindly decide the exact location where you would want to place the furniture prior to the delivery team's visit, and instruct the delivery team to set the furniture there.

5) We will NOT be able to accommodate any cancellation or change requests after 7 days post-delivery. We request the customer to personally be present during delivery to ensure that they check the furniture at the time of delivery.

Rework:

If the product delivered is either a wrong product, product has transit damage or a manufacturing defect, Stitchwood will offer a free re-work and delivery, following which the customer can decide whether to accept the product or cancel the same.

Delay:

1. Catalogue Products:For orders that are delayed for more than 2 weeks from the order delivery date, the customer has the right to cancel the order and in such cases Stitchwood will refund the entire amount. However, for delays that are less than 2 weeks, advance amount will not be refunded in case of cancellation
2. Customised Products: For orders that are delayed for more than 3 weeks from the order delivery date, the customer has the right to cancel the order and in such cases Stitchwood will refund the entire amount. However, for delays that are less than 3 weeks, advance amount will not be refunded in case of cancellation

Refund Policy:

Once the furniture has been returned by the customer, the order amount will be credited to the customer's account within 10 working days from the day of initiating the refund.

Warranty:

Stitchwood furniture comes with one year warranty on upholstery and three years warranty on structure. Any damage due to mishandling by the customer will not be covered under the warranty.

The warranty is only applicable in areas serviced by Stitchwood. In other areas, there would be NO after-sale service/warranty/guarantee for the furniture provided by Stitchwood.

The warranty conditions will change for the following materials. Their details are as follows:

Furniture with Mechanism:

Stitchwood offers 1 year warranty on the mechanism. If there are any issues with the mechanism of the furniture, Stitchwood's quality check team will do an inspection to determine that the mechanism needs to be repaired or replaced. This will only be applicable if there is a mechanical fault with the mechanism. Any damage due to mishandling by the customer will not be covered in the warranty.

Metal Furniture:

Stitchwood furniture with metal frames or structure comes with a 1 year warranty. Any damage caused during the manufacturing and delivery of the product will be repaired or replaced by Stitchwood. Damage caused because of mishandling by the customer will not be covered in the warranty.This will be determined after Stitchwood's quality check team inspects the furniture.

Laminates, Veneer and Wood Finish:

Stitchwood provides 1 year warranty on the finish and polish of laminates, veneer and wood finish of the furniture. Any damage caused during the manufacturing and delivery of the product will be repaired or replaced by Stitchwood. If any damage caused due to mishandling by the customer will not be covered in the warranty.This will be determined after Stitchwood's quality check team inspects the furniture.

Upholstery:

Stitchwood provides 1 year warranty on upholstery. Any kind of stain or tear caused due to mishandling by the customer will not be covered in the warranty. Normal wear and tear is also not covered under the warranty.

Other Materials:

Materials such as mirrors, glass doors/tops and stone (granite, marble and any variety of stone) tops do not come with any warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

Expansions and contractions to Solid wood furniture due to seasonality issues are not covered under warranty. Any after sales work , if required by the client, will be charged.

If the customer has kept the furniture in any open, humid or moisture prone environment, the warranty is not valid. Any after sales work, if required by the client, will be charged.
